SHYFT UFS systems are designed to be highly precise in their measurements of diesel fuel levels, through carefully tuned ultrasonic pulse sensing. In order for this system to deliver accurate results, the sensor must be installed and oriented so that it's sensing beam can reach from the top of the fuel tank to the very bottom.
During installation, the SHYFT-trained install team will measure the tank and assess for any possible obstructions to this sensing beam, however due to fuel filling the tank, this is not always possible on the day of install.
If you notice that your fuel level is static over a period of 24-48 hours despite the generator having been run over that period, it may be the case that there is a previously unidentified obstruction within the tank which is blocking the sensor's ability to send a signal to the bottom of the tank.
To resolve this, please create a ticket with SHYFT Support and we will assist with next steps.
