Manager Override is a FlexView feature that allows FlexView Dashboard users with permission to remotely control the Sub Smart Meters while simultaneously disabling the normal auto disconnect functionality set for the account. Disabling of the normal auto disconnect function implies that when Manager Override is enabled the FlexView software will not automatically connect or disconnect the meter based on Tariff rules, regardless of whether payments are made or the account status changes.

- Common Use Cases for Manager Override
Enable Manager Override
Step 1: Log into FlexView Dashboard
Step 2: Go to the account requiring Manager Override by using the search tab. Click on the Action button and enable Manager Override.
Permission Notes: Only users with administrative permissions can enable or disable Manager Override.
What happens to a meter when payment is actually made. Does it remain connected?
The meter will stay in whatever mode the Power Manager has placed it in. A change in payment status will not cause the meter to change from connected to disconnected or vice versa. So if the meter is connected and in override, it will stay that way regardless of payment. If a meter is disconnected and in an override state, it will stay that way regardless of payment. The meter will perform automatic functionalities only when Manager Override is disabled and Auto-Disconnect is enabled.
In summary
- Automated Connect and Disconnect will be disabled when Override is active
- You must disable Override for Automated Connect/Disconnect to occur
Is there a time frame after the initial override in which the account is disconnected again till required payments are made?
Manager override is a manual action meaning it will not be disabled or turn off until a manager turns off that mode. There are no timers or conditions tied to Manager Override.
Common Use Cases for Manager Override
There may be cases where a Power Manager chooses to ignore the standard auto disconnect settings for a meter such as
- If payment made for an outstanding account that should move the account to good standing is yet to reflect in FlexView and the Power Manager would like to provide power to the resident while the pending payment clears.
- If you would like to exclude a meter from the standard auto disconnect settings possibly because the unit is not being occupied. Manager Override can be activated and the meter disconnected.
