🔧 1. What is the FlexView Billing Upgrade all about?
This upgrade introduces a more flexible and intuitive billing system that gives Power Managers (PMs) greater control over how fees and tariffs are managed and disbursed. With this release, you’ll be able to make changes to service fees or tariffs without disrupting existing configurations.
⚡ 2. What new features are included in this release?
The key tools introduced in this Phase 1 rollout include:
-
Separate Tariff and Fee Plans
You can now manage energy tariffs and service fees independently. No more full billing plan resets when only one component changes. -
Custom Payout Splits
Direct service fee payouts into multiple bank accounts, either using a percentage or a fixed Naira value. -
View Fee Payment Status
PMs can now track who has paid for a specific service fee and who hasn’t—right from the platform. -
Cancel Future Fee Charges
You can now cancel a fee plan directly from the platform. This stops future (unposted) charges from being applied. -
Meter-Level Disconnect/Reconnect Settings
Configure disconnection or reconnection settings per meter, instead of at the billing plan level. -
Payout Account Setup (By Permission)
PMs with appropriate access can now add or update payout accounts without contacting support.

👥 3. Does this affect end users or residents?
No. This release is focused solely on improving the admin/PM experience. Your residents will continue to access and use the FlexView mobile app as normal. No changes have been made to the consumer interface or experience.
🛠 4. What should I do to prepare for the update?
- Update your billing or fee plans in advance if changes are expected in the next cycle.
-
Review and update user access levels on your Power Manager dashboard:
- We recommend changing any Facility Managers/Admins who shouldn’t manage payouts from Admin to Manager roles.

- Contact Support if you need help adjusting your setup or understanding how the new tools work.
🔁 5. Can I reverse or edit past charges?
This release allows you to cancel future charges from an active fee plan, but reversal of already posted/past charges is not yet available in this phase. That feature is planned for a future update.
🧾 6. Will my current billing setup break?
Not at all. If you're not making any changes, your existing billing and fee configurations will continue to work seamlessly. You only need to take action if you're planning an adjustment to either tariffs or fees.
📊 7. Can I see who has paid for a fee or not?
Yes. A new tracking view now shows fee payment status per user. This helps you follow up with specific units that have not yet made their payments. This information is displayed on the fees tab.
🏦 8. How do I split payouts into multiple bank accounts?
You’ll now find options within the fee setup page that allow you to:
- Split payouts by percentage (e.g., 80% to Account A, 20% to Account B) for Fees only, or
- Split payouts using fixed Naira amounts (e.g., ₦100,000 to each account).
To access this, ensure your user role has admin-level permissions or contact support to assist.
📅 9. When does the upgrade go live?
The upgrade will go live on [Insert Launch Date]. You’ll see the new options immediately after that date on your PM dashboard.
