FlexView’s latest update allows you to create and manage Fee Plans independently of your Tariff Plans. This means you can now apply, edit, or remove fees without affecting your existing energy billing setup, giving you greater flexibility and control.
Here’s how to set up a new fee in just a few steps.
Step 1: Access the Fees Tab
From your PM dashboard, go to Billing & Fee Settings.
Select the "Fees" tab. This is the new section that allows you to manage all service-related fees independently.
-
You will see a Summary of Fees table showing all existing fee plans.
You can hover over any column title for a quick explanation of what the data means (e.g., Next Posted Date,Last Activity, Structure, etc.).
Step 2: Create a New Fee
Click on the “+ New Fee” button to start the setup process.
-
You’ll now go through three stages:
Set-Up
Payout
Confirmation
Set-Up Stage
This stage remains unchanged from the previous version.
This is where you define how the fee should be charged.
You’ll be asked to:
-
Choose between:
A fixed fee per meter
(e.g., charge ₦10,000 to each meter)Or an expense split by energy consumption
(e.g., split a ₦2.5M diesel bill based on how much energy each meter used over a period)
Enter the fee amount and basic details.
Once done, click “Save and Continue to Payout Settings”.
Payout Stage (New)
This is where the key changes lie.
Here, you’ll determine how the collected fees should be paid out. You can now:
Choose to split payouts by percentage (%) or by amount (₦).
Add one or multiple bank accounts for the disbursement.
When you're done, click “Review and Confirm” to proceed.
Confirmation Stage
-
Review the full summary of your setup:
Fee name
Amount
Distribution structure
-
If everything looks good, choose either:
"Save Fee Plan" — if you're not ready to apply the fee yet.
"Save and Apply to Meters" — if you're prepared to apply the fee.
If you choose to apply:
You'll be taken to the Meters tab.
Select the meters to which the fee should apply.
Click “Confirm Selected Meters” (top right).
A success message will appear to confirm that the fee has been applied.
Note: The fee will be charged to users on the scheduled posting date.
