How reliable is the fuel probe especially if the fuel tank is coupled to the generator?

The SHYFT Ultrasonic Fuel Sensing (UFS) technology is highly precise. The exact error margin will depend on the size of the fuel tank in question, as well as the environmental conditions, but the sensor is capable of measuring at less than a millimetre of resolution and typically operates within an error margin of +-2% or better.

The SHYFT UFS has been carefully selected to be a hardened, industrial sensing solution to meet the challenging environmental conditions of field sites in Nigeria. It is a fully-sealed, IP67 unit that can withstand wet conditions, vibrations, and overload voltage events. SHYFT UFS also has temperature compensation built-in to account for changes as a generator set is running and creating an increase in internal temperature. Given these characteristics, SHYFT UFS is reliable and performs well even when mounted to an internal generator tank.
